Who Would I Like To Switch Bodies with?

My Nasa Colouring SLJ - By Angelina

What are the giraffes talking about?

Once upon a time there was a sister and a brother fighting over 1 piece of food, this is also based on a true story. So the brother picked up the last piece of food but the sister stopped him from getting it and said

“I want the last piece of food”.

 The brother then replied with

“I should get the last piece of food because I'm older than you”

but the sister disagreed and said

“ well you ate most of the food so I should have it”

with an annoyed voice.

The brother then said “

It’s mine and I took it first and you don’t even like this type of food”. The brother  then dashed to go tell his mother.

Though this was not the sisters favorite food she still wanted to eat it and then screamed

“ THAT IS MY FOOD GIVE IT BACK”.

But before she could say it he had already told his mum. So their mum says

“ just split it apart “

then the siblings realize that they could’ve done that from the start.

Superhero Or A Wizard - By Angelina

Would you rather be a Superhero or a wizard?

I would rather be a superhero because I would love to help others who are in trouble and we all have our unique powers that makes us stand out and would be able to make others day

A Maggots Life Cycle - By Angelina

I created this maggot life cycle after reading an article about this 17 year old girl you fell from the sky while a plane was crashing. You're probably wondering on how does this article do with a maggots life cycle well when the girl fell she had lots of wounds. Flies laid eggs which turned into maggots which ate the dead tissues in the wound and cleaned them up. I learned that even though maggots are yucky they can be helpful!

Maggot's Life Cycle's Life Span:
Adult/House fly: 28 days
Fly eggs: 24 hours
Larval stage: 10 - 14 days
How long does a pupa turn into a fly: 3 - 6 days

Christians thoughts - By Angelina

 Diary Entry

The ground mumbled and rumbled while I try to keep my balance. I slowly walk to my doorstep. The sound of babies crying, kids limping in pain, adult hopeless screams make me panic. As soon as I opened the door I shut it with no hesitation. I sat there leaning on the wall feeling sad and afraid. Gun shots fired with a loud BANG! The smell of smoke blew through my my house as I shut all the windows. Outside there is violence, helicopters, and tear gas. My heart breaks. Seeing my beautiful country destroyed makes me cry my tears out while holding my sisters hand thinking "Is this the end of me and my family?"

My Sailing Experience

On May the 10th the year 8's and 7's were given a surprising opportunity... sailing! And no, it is not like canoeing. All we had to do was for our parents to sign the papers that were given to them from school. The paper also had the belongings we had to bring for sailing. Ms George gave some important advice... "wear our togs underneath our warm clothing." We also asked some questions like are we driving there or taking a bus? Some kids that had been sailing before gave me some advice as well.

We first had to pick a boat and a partner to create the boat we also had an example to copy, we needed a bit of help but after all that we made it. Than we took a little break and ate our morning tea. We followed this girl to the trailer to get our life jackets and jackets. Afterwards, they asked for 6 people to hop on their boats with their partners then 6 other people to go in. They put my rope into there boat so we could have a little practise to control the boat. Next they let us go and we did some fun activities. However, they told us that we had to go back and eat our lunch since it had been an hour more or less. I was eating my lunch when one of the young staff came and sat next to us on the other seat and we started talking. We went back into the water and the floor was a bit slippery. They let us go anywhere and did some activities again.

To me sailing was really great I just really wished we had more time to swim or do some fun things but over all it was actually  pretty amazing, so much more than I expected.

Diary Entry - Girl Version

Girl Version -

Dear Diary...

When the boy cried I looked with complete confusion on my face. I wondered "what did I do wrong?" He looked frozen as well as paralyzed. I stood there in silence. The crickets chirping got louder, louder, even louder as the awkwardness spread around the room.

The smell of  the dirty old scarf flew a stink around the attic. As my hand griped onto the wet umbrella I continued to feel more regretful. My mother calmly told me to give the soaked umbrella to him. I nodded my head feeling terrible for him. Hearing him cry with happiness and joy made me feel delighted. He forgave me before I even said sorry and that's when I knew we would be friends forever.

Diary Entry

This is a diary entry I have written in response to a short animated movie we are studying for literature.

As I open the closet of memories the sound of mysterious footsteps gotten closer as well as louder. I slowly but silently turned around when I saw a  girl that looked the same age as me looking at me. When all of a sudden she aggressively snatched the yellow umbrella, I stood there in complete silence. After I stood there for a few minutes I begged her to give it back as it reminds me of my father, the girl refused to. When the adults heard something up stairs they came to the dusty old attic. The window was open so the post cards flew across the room in time for the adults to catch it, when they caught it they read with disbelief on there face as I know what they read. I sat there with full sadness. My heart was full of despair also feeling unloved as well as overwhelmed it was showering upon me, hurting me physically. A single drop of grief welled up from the corner of my eye when all of a sudden the smell of the scarf I had inhaled, smelling my fathers scent that smelt such as fresh fruits. The streaming tears fall in slow motion hitting the blank dirty paper unlocking something about my life.

Clay Values - By Angelina

Clay Values

Today we discussed our values. We had to dig deep and think hard about what really counts.

I chose a rainbow with a cloud as something I value because it reminded me of God's promise in Genesis 5:32-10:1. God promised that he was never going to flood the world again.

We created our value in clay so we could think about out values mean to us personally.

Station Of The Cross 2021 - By Angelina

Station Of The Cross

On the first of April year 7 and year 8's had Stations of the Cross. Station of the cross is a story of Jesus who had to carry the cross and would go station by station. We do the station of the cross to remind us that Jesus had died for our sins and what he has been through. We would usually do this every year but covid-19 had got to us last year and the old room 8 and year 7's were not able to do it sadly.

Our Teacher and Principal said that when the bell with the stick would ring, that was the time to change to our costumes and go to the hall. The Teachers told us to hide in this tiny closet because we had to walk in the hall last. We practised for 5 days, I got a bit goofy but kind of manged not to laugh. We got to practise with our costumes once, which was fun and all the boys and girls had to separate since we had to change so the boys went to the library and the girls went to room 8. We had to wear no shoes because the olden days were a bit poor and couldn't afford shoes. We picked a role so I decided to be the women of Jerusalem as well as Lupe, Deva and April. We were also the 8th station.

After Jesus fell the 3rd time it was our station next and we didn't have to do anything except to act like we were crying and feeling sad. Me and my friend (April) had a trick that if we stared at the wall without trying to blink we would get teary and it worked a bit. After the reader (Aleenah and Ellma) had finished the reading we would wait for the line to go forward and we had go to the back of the line. Than we would sit a in a line and watch the last sixth station on the stage. We would walk out and when one of the readers would turn of the mic it was a sign that we had to leave. Our teacher had said that when you leave the hall you have to keep walking to class. So we did.

After the whole thing I felt relief and happy but before the act I felt nervous and butterflies in my tummy, it was like a roller coaster of emotions.
